Are you constantly battling weight loss?

I find that I am always looking for some weight loss rules to live by...so I thought I would share some with you.

1) Drink water everyday. Drink more than you think you should and definitely fill up on water before you eat. It's true. You think you are hungry and you are really just thirsty.

2) Eat 5-8 servings of fruits and vegetables everyday. Get them any way you can just make sure you do it. Not only do you need the valuable nutrients, but fruits and veggies help fill you up with low-calorie fiber.

3) Exercise just about everyday. I am a big proponent of 30 minutes of cardio and weights 5 days a week. Just think the extra burn will justify the extra snack!

4) Eat little or no carbs at night. This is hard to do but it is the quickest way to see a change in your puffy belly! I am not advocating low carb eating all of the time, just be careful with carbs (and sugars, of course) at night.

5) Make certain you are eating around 25 grams of fiber daily. This shouldn't be hard with all of the fruits and veggies you are eating. Make good choices like eating beans and whole grain products. Typically, the less processed your grains are the more fiber they contain.

6) Pay close attention to you sugar intake. Sugar is hiding in many things we eat. Really try to cut back as eating sugar just defeats your weight loss efforts.

Doesn't thin taste delicious?! What are your top tips for weight loss?

I wanna lose weight NOW!
Everyday is a battle to lose weight. I want natural weight loss through a simple weight loss program. The kind of healthy weight loss you get without weight loss pills or surgery. I want to forever be rid of these excess pounds!

I have battled my weight all of my life. I have weighed in excess of 236 pounds. Several years ago I got down to 165 but I did it with weight loss pills. As you can imagine, I did not stay trim. I would never take weight loss pills again. I believe they messed with my body. I will not use any weight loss products or weight loss supplements. These are not tools for you to use the rest of your life.

Over the course of the next 5 or 6 years, I gradually got back up to 227. I was incredibly frustrated and wore a size 14W (size 18) top and an 18W (size 22) bottom. Yikes. I decided enough is enough and rejoined a popular weight loss program. I lost 74 pounds over the next 18 months. I was very pleased as although I did not really suscribe to their particular program, I do believe that my experience made me highly aware of my destructive eating habits.

Another 2 years went by and I am up 16 pounds from my all time low mentioned above. I am not going to gain all of the weight back like I have done previously. I am not going to do it. I have never been this low for this long. Plus, I am getting older...the weight just doesn't drop off like it used to.

I have just 29 pounds (this is nothing compared to what I used to weigh) to be at my goal weight. I have never been at 140 in my adult life (or for the last 30 years). I wanna lose weight!!! I can do this with all of the wonderful tools I have used over time to achieve what I have so far.

There are some weight loss "musts" that I suscribe to...these are things that when I am believing and doing, I am in control. When I don't do them, I am out of control and gaining weight. More on these next time!

Remember - nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!
