Fight Holiday Weight Gain
I thought I would share my holiday tips for keeping my focus on my weight loss goals:
- drink lots of water, even if you are not thirsty -- especially prior to feeling some big indulgence coming on
- slip in 4-5 servings of fruits and veggies in no matter what
- constantly remind yourself that no delicious snack tastes better than how skinny feels
- don't give up your workouts -- they are more important now
- don't eat things just because they are there -- especially if the item is not really that tasty
- always stuff veggies in your mouth to take up space in your belly before indulging
- don't forget that weight loss desires will still be there long after you have digested those cookies
- tell people that you are so excited that you are not going to gain weight this holiday (it will be an affirmation)!
Treat yourself to some new workout clothes or anything as a reward for sticking as cclose as possible to your weight loss goals.
